Weekly Review of Events Involving Slovenia from 25 Feb to 3 Mar

Ljubljana, 4 March - European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso paid his first visit to Slovenia since assuming office. Addressing the Slovenian National Assembly, he urged the national parliaments of the EU member states to take the initiative in implementing the EU's commitments. Meanwhile, Slovenian judges reacted angrily to a salary cut, sending the government decree determining their wages to the Constitutional Court for review.
