Ljubljana, 6 March - Below is a schedule of events for Tuesday, 7 March:
TEL AVIV, Israel - President Janez Drnovsek is to hold talks with the Knesset Speaker Rueven Rivlin (12:25 PM) and former Israeli PM Shimon Peres (6 PM) as he continues his visit to Israel. He is also to visit the Yad Vashem holocaust museum (3 PM). (STA)
LJUBLJANA - The board of the Commerce of Chamber and Industry (GZS) is to meet at 2 PM to discuss a proposal to establish a Development Fund as an instrument of support for companies in their plans to undertake development projects.
INNSBRUCK, Austria - EU defence ministers, including Slovenia's Karl Erjavec, are to conclude a two-day informal meeting which discuss the formation of EU rapid reaction forces and the civil-military cooperation in EU missions.
BRASOV, Romania - The director of the Government's Office for National Minorities Janez Obrez is to attend a four-day international conference on minorities in public life, and a third session of the CoE's expert committee on the protection of minorities.
NEW YORK, US - The director of the National Statistical Office Irena Krizman is to attend a four-day session of the Statistical Commission of the UN Economic and Social Council.
LJUBLJANA - The National Assembly is to continue its February session by debating the 25 May 2001 - 24 May 2005 report of the Slovenian Restitution Fund (SOD), and pass a bill on medicinal products.
PORTOROZ - An annual two-day meeting of cooperatives, organised by the Slovenian Association of Cooperatives, is to get under way at 10 AM discussing business opportunities on the common market. Several top officials to take part.
KOPER - Transport Minister Janez Bozic is to address a ceremony celebrating Slovenia's Maritime Day. The Day marks the 1991 passage of a resolution which confirmed Slovenia's status as a coastal country; at 11 AM.
LJUBLJANA - The opposition Social Democrats (SD) are to hold a press conference at 11 AM on equality of the sexes.
CELJE - Adriatic Slovenica is to stage a press conference at 11 AM to speak about its 2005 merger which has made it the country's second largest insurance company with a 17% market share, and about its branch office in Celje.
LJUBLJANA - The council of the coalition People's Party (SLS) is to meet to debate the prime minister's proposal for a multipartisan pact on reforms. SLS leader Janez Podobnik is scheduled to speak to the pres at 6:30 PM.
LJUBLJANA - Forum 21 of Former Slovenian President Milan Kucan is to host a debate on how the planned government reforms would affect values and consequently the cultural sector; at 5 PM.
LJUBLJANA - The publisher Studentska zalozba is to hold a news conference at 11 AM to present the national appearance at the upcoming Lepizig Book Fair.
