Ljubljana, 9 March - Below is a schedule of events for Friday, 10 March:

SALZBURG, Austria - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to be taking part in the first day of a two-day informal meeting of EU foreign ministers that will focus on recent developments in the Middle East.

MARIBOR - Transport Minister Janez Bozic is to meet officials of the Maribor Airport to discuss the ownership of airport facilities. A press conference is scheduled for 10 AM. (STA)

BRUSSELS, Belgium - Labour Minister Janez Drobnic is to take part in a meeting of EU ministers for labour, social policies, health and consumer protection that will focus on the free movement of labour in the EU.

LJUBLJANA - The Association of Ecological Movements of Slovenia is to hold a press conference at 11 AM to speak about topical matters concerning environmental protection in Slovenia.

LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary EU affairs committee is to start a session at 2 PM to discuss the report on Slovenia's phasing of EU funds and other topical issues.

LJUBLJANA - The opposition National Party (SNS) is to outline changes to the penal code that would introduce longer jail terms for paedophiles, at a press conference scheduled for noon.

LJUBLJANA - The coalition New Slovenia (NSi) is to hold a conference to debate preparations for the forthcoming local elections; starts at 6 PM.

LJUBLJANA - An exhibition of sculptor Ivan Napotnik is to be opened at 7 PM - one part will be staged in the National Gallery; the other at the Velenje Gallery.

LJUBLJANA - A show of works by 99 architectural bureaus from Slovenia and eight other countries opens at 7 PM. The show "Wonderland" began in 2004 and grows every time it visits another country. The opening ceremony will be addressed by Culture Minister Vasko Simoniti and Austrian Secretary for Art and the Media Franz Morak.

KRANJ - The 35th festival dubbed "The Week of Slovenian Theatre" is to be presented to the press at 10 AM at the Kranj theatre house, Presernovo gledalisce Kranj, which hosts the event.

MOSCOW, Russia - Four Slovenian athletes are to compete at the World Indoor Championships in Moscow from 10 to 12 March: Matic Osovnikar, Marko Bratoz (both men's 60 m), Miro Vodovnik (shot put) and Sonja Roman, the only Slovenian female athlete at the event (1,500 m). Jolanda Ceplak, 800 m European indoor champion, will not be competing as she is resting after surgery.

LJUBLJANA - The ice dancing final (free programme) is to take place at 6:30 PM at the World Youth Figure Skating Championships.
