Historian Says Deportees Must Be Placed in Historical Context
Trieste, 10 March - Responding to controversy over a list of 1,048 Italians who went missing after the Yugoslav troops liberated Trieste in May 1945, which has been made public in Italy, a Slovenian historian stresses that the post-war events must be placed in a historical context. For example, during the war Italians killed over 5,000 people in Ljubljana alone, Nevenka Troha writes in Primorski dnevnik on Friday.
