Ljubljana, 19 March - As talks on the privatisation of Slovenia's largest bank, NLB, seem to be nearing the finish line, there is also growing speculation about a possible rift within the government on the issue, which could entail a resignation by Development Minister Joze P. Damijan. Istrabenz holding published a takeover bid for the entire food company Droga Kolinska and the national fixed-line telco Telekom has a new chairman yet again. European Commissioner Joaquin Almunia was in Slovenia for an euro conference, and urged pension system sustainability.
