Weekly Review of Events Involving Slovenia from 1 to 7 April

Ljubljana, 8 April - This was a busy week for all branches of government. The government decided to send two soldiers to DR Congo and passed a law aimed at speeding up court proceedings, which will also benefit the judiciary that is struggling with huge backlogs of cases. Parliament passed a number of key acts, including the eagerly anticipated an act on Slovenians. And the government's reform efforts look have received a boost as six out of seven parliamentary parties signed up to the PMs multi-partisan development partnership pact.
