Schedule of Events for Tuesday, 11 April

Ljubljana, 10 April - Below is a schedule of events for Tuesday, 11 April:

LJUBLJANA - The RTV Slovenija Programming Council is expected to meet at 10 AM to give its non-binding opinion on new directors of the radio and TV programmes. Both directors would then be appointed by the director general. There are five applicants for the first and four for the second post. (STA/PHOTO)

SKOPJE, Macedonia - Agriculture Minister Marija Lukacic is to wrap up a two-day visit to Skopje at the invitation of her Macedonian counterpart Sadula Duraku.

LJUBLJANA - French company Transmontagne is to sign a contract (signing at 2 PM) on the purchase from the state and two of Slovenia's largest banks, Nova Kreditna banka Maribor and Abanka Vipa, of the debts of ATC Kanin, the company managing the popular northwestern Alpine ski centre of Kanin. Transmontagne, which will pay EUR 750,000 for the debt, will thus increase its share in ATC Kanin from 14% to 53%.

LJUBLJANA - Supervisors of retailer Mercator are to meet at 3 PM to discuss the 2005 audited consolidated results, and plans for 2006. It is unclear weather they would also discuss an offer by the UK-based fund Altima for nearly a quarter of the company.

TEPANJE - The council of the coalition New Slovenia (NSi) is to hold a session at 5 PM to discuss the current political events and preparations on local elections.

LJUBLJANA - The National Council is to hold a consultation meeting on reforms, starting at 4 PM.

LJUBLJANA - The Slovenian Prison Administration is to speak about the annual report for 2005 and topical issues at a press conference scheduled for 11 AM.
