LJUBLJANA - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to receive Matevz Grilc, president of the National Council of Carinthian Slovenians (NSKS), Marjan Sturm, president of the Association of Slovenian Organisations (ZSO), Bernard Sadovnik, president of the Association of Carinthian Slovenians (SKS), and Hanzi Mikl, a representative of the Unity List (EL), the minority's sole political party, to discuss bilingual place signs in the province of Carinthia; at 9:30 AM (STA/PHOTO)

LJUBLJANA - A memorial plaque is to be unveiled at the Foreign Ministry to mark 15 years since the adoption of the Brijuni Declaration. The agreement, signed by Slovenia, Croatia and the Yugoslav authorities under the aegis of the EU, froze for three months the implementation of Slovenia's and Croatia's independence. LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary committees for EU affairs and foreign policy are to hold a joint session at 11 AM to get acquainted with the priorities of the Finnish EU presidency.

LJUBLJANA - The management board of the energy association at the Chamber of Commerce (GZS) is to hold a session at 10 AM to look into the business results of energy companies from 1997 to 2005.

LJUBLJANA - The Tourism Association of Slovenia and the committee for gaming at the Chamber of Commerce (GZS) are to stage a debate on the development of gaming at 10 AM.

MOSCOW, Russia - Slovenian State Prosecutor General Barbara Brezigar and Supreme State Prosecutor Sanja Javor are to attend a Council of Europe (CoE) conference of prosecutors general from 46 CoE member states.

BERLIN, Germany - A delegation of the parliamentary inquiry commission looking into the work of prosecutors is to pay a working visit to Germany. They are to meet several MPs, including Klaus Uwe Benneter, who has chaired several inquiry commissions. The visit concludes on Friday.

LJUBLJANA - A delegation of the Japanese parliament headed by Joshito Mutato, the head of the parliamentary friendship group with Slovenia, is to meet at 3:55 PM the chairman of the Slovenian parliament's foreign policy committee Jozef Jerovsek.

LJUBLJANA - The results of a survey on attitudes to a career in the military, which has been carried out among third-year secondary school students, are to be presented to the press at 11 AM.
