Ljubljana, 6 July - Below is a schedule of events for Friday, 7 July:
CLEVELAND, US - Prime Minister Janez Jansa is to start a multi-day visit to the US with a visit to the Slovenian community in Cleveland. Talks with US President George W. Bush are scheduled for Monday.
SLOVENSKA BISTRICA - The project ALUREG (a university information system with a technological park and the expansion of the industrial zone Bistrica) is to be presented to the press at 9 AM. Economics Minister Andrej Vizjak, Higher Education Minister Jure Zupan and Minister of Local Government and Regional Policy Ivan Zagar are to attend. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - Agriculture Minister Marija Lukacic is to present the sea fisheries bill that the government adopted on Thursday, at a press conference scheduled for 10 AM. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary EU affairs committee is to discuss behind closed doors the guidelines for the 11 July meeting of the EU's Economic and Financial Council, the services directive and the progress in Slovenia's preparations for EU presidency; at 2 PM.
LJUBLJANA - Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning Janez Podobnik and Primoz Pirc, the head of the National Housing Fund, are to present the fund's plan of activities at a press conference scheduled for 10 AM.
LJUBLJANA - Public Administration Minister Gregor Virant is to present the case for selecting mobile operators Mobitel and Simobil for mobile telephony services for the public administration in the 2006-2008 period; at 11 AM.
BLED - The 13th Bledcom, an international seminar on public relations, is to kick off at 10 AM. The theme this year is Communicating Europe, with a round table dubbed "How Europe Communicates in Practice" to be held at 4:45 PM.
LJUBLJANA - The Panvita group, an alliance of producers of healthy food, is to present results for the first six months of the year and plans for the future at a press conference scheduled for 10 AM.
