Ljubljana, 9 July - Schedule of events in the week from 10 to 16 July:

MONDAY, 10 July
        WASHINGTON, US - Prime Minister Janez Jansa is to continue a multi-day official visit to the US with a meeting with US President George Bush.
        LJUBLJANA - The National Assembly is to begin its regular July session.
        HELSINKI, Finland - State Secretary at the Economics Ministry Andrijana Starina Kosem is to take part in a two-day meeting of the EU Competitiveness Council.
        DUBROVNIK, Croatia - Economics Minister Andrej Vizjak is to take part in a Euro-Atlantic conference entitled "Croatia Summit 2006 - Completing Europe's Southern Dimension: The Values That Bind Us".
        RABAT, Morocco - Interior Minister Dragutin Mate is to attend a two-day Euro-African conference on immigration. The conference, organised by Morocco and France, is to see the participation on 60 countries from the EU and Africa and several regional and international organisations.
        LJUBLJANA - The Labour, Family and Social Affairs Ministry is to present to the press among other things a public call for performing institutional care services in families.

TUESDAY , 11 July
        WASHINGTON, US - Prime Minister Janez Jansa is to conclude a multi-day official visit to the US by meeting US Vice-President Dick Cheney and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.
        BRUSSELS, Belgium - EU finance ministers, among them Slovenia's Andrej Bajuk, are to meet to determine the final tolar-euro exchange rate.
        LJUBLJANA - Chief-of-Staff General Lieutenant Albin Gutman is to receive his Czech counterpart Pavel Stefka, who will stay in Slovenia until 13 July.
        LJUBLJANA - The Slovenian Supreme Court is to present to the press the annual report on its work and an assessment of the situation of the judicial branch of power in 2005.
        ZELEZNIKI - Domel, the maker of electric motors, is to present to the press its business results for 2005.
        LJUBLJANA - A public debate on the bill on the creation a new institute for audio-visual content, which would replace the existing Slovenian Film Fund is to take place.

WEDNESDAY, 12 July
        PODGORICA, Montenegro - President Janez Drnovsek is to attend celebrations marking the Montenegrin National Holiday at the invitation of his Montenegrin counterpart Filip Vujanovic.

THURSDAY, 13 July
        YALTA, Ukraine - State Secretary for European Affairs Janez Lenarcic is to attend a four day annual conference entitled "Yalta European Strategy - YES".
        LJUBLJANA - The Economics Ministry is to hold a press conference at which it is expected to present the Slovenian tourism development plan and guidelines for the 2007-2011 period.
        LJUBLJANA - The cabinet is to hold its regular weekly session.
        LJUBLJANA - A study on factors that determine the effectiveness of banks in new EU member states is to be presented as part of a research seminar organised by Banka Slovenija.
        PORTOROZ - The 29th music festival "Melodije morja in Sonca" (Melodies of the Sea and Sun) is to begin. It is to close on 15 July.
        DOMZALE, Slovenia/ORASJE, Bosnia-Herzegovina - Domzale is to take on the Bosnian club Orasje and Anet Koper the Bulgarian club Litex Lovec in the first leg of the first qualifying round for the UEFA Cup. Anet Koper is to play in Domzale.
        RAVNE NA KOROSKEM - The four-day Swimming Championships of Slovenia are to begin in Ravne na Koroskem.

FRIDAY, 14 July
        TURKU, Finland - A three day informal meeting of EU environment ministers is to begin. The Slovenian delegation will be headed by State Secretary at the Environment Ministry Mark Starman.

SATURDAY, 15 July
        NOVA GORICA - PM Janez Jansa is to deliver a speech at a celebration marking the 100th anniversary of the Bohinj (NW) railway.

SUNDAY, 16 July
        No major events are scheduled.
