Ljubljana, 9 July - Below is a schedule of events for Monday, 10 July:

WASHINGTON, US - Prime Minister Janez Jansa is to continue a multi-day official visit to the US with a meeting with US President George Bush at 4 PM CET. Later in the day Jansa is to lay a wreath on the grave of the unknown hero at the Arlington cemetery and meet the chairman of the US Senate's international relations committee Richard Lugar. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The National Assembly is to begin its regular July session with a Q&A session for the ministers. Due to his visit to the US, PM Jansa will face grilling from the lawmakers on Thursday.

HELSINKI, Finland - State Secretary at the Economics Ministry Andrijana Starina Kosem is to take part in a two-day meeting of the EU Competitiveness Council.

DUBROVNIK, Croatia - Economics Minister Andrej Vizjak is to take part in a Euro-Atlantic conference entitled "Croatia Summit 2006 - Completing Europe's Southern Dimension: The Values That Bind Us". Vizjak is to present Slovenia's experience gained during the 15 years since it became independent and government plans for securing the competitiveness of Slovenian economy.

RABAT, Morocco - Interior Minister Dragutin Mate is to attend a two-day Euro-African conference on immigration. The conference, organised by Morocco and France, is to see the participation on 60 countries from the EU and Africa and several regional and international organisations.

LJUBLJANA - The Labour, Family and Social Affairs Ministry are to hold a press conference at noon, at which minister Janez Drobnic and Stefan Kociper of the directorate for social affairs are to present among other things a public call for performing institutional care services in families.

LJUBLJANA - The opposition Liberal Democrats (LDS) deputy group it to present to the press at 10 AM its position on the bill on the creation a new institute for audio-visual content, which would replace the existing Slovenian Film Fund.
