Ljubljana, 13 July - Below is a schedule of events for Friday, 14 July:
LJUBLJANA - PM Janez Jansa is to host a session of the Partnership Council (2:30 PM) and a meeting of the coalition lawmakers with the government (5 PM). The Partnership Council, consisting of all parties but the opposition LDS, is to debate a proposed resolution on national development projects. The meeting of coalition representatives with ministers is to focus on the same resolution. Statements for the press are scheduled for after the second meeting. (STA/PHOTO)
LJUBLJANA - The final day of the July session of parliament is to see the final reading of the employment and insurance against unemployment bill and amendments to the act on the Lipica Stud Farm. Moreover, the college of deputy group heads is to meet at 8:15 AM to set the timetable of September's session of parliament. (STA)
MARIBOR - The Slovenian and Croatian postal companies, Posta Slovenije and Hrvatska posta, are to sign a letter of intent on business cooperation. The general managers of the companies, Ales Hauc and Andrej Sardelic, are to speak to the press at 10 AM. (STA/PHOTO)
LJUBLJANA - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to receive at noon students from Israel, Palestine and Slovenia who are taking part in the Intercultural Dialogue Project.
BRUSSELS, Belgium - The EU finance ministers are to discuss the 2007 EU budget at a meeting that will see Slovenia represented by its Ambassador to the EU Igor Sencar.
TURKU, Finland - Environment Ministry State Secretary Marko Starman is to represent Slovenia at an informal meeting of EU environment ministers.
JESENICE - The Rotomatika industrial company is to open a new plant at noon in this northern Slovenian town. Economics Minister Andrej Vizjak is to be the keynote speaker.
LJUBLJANA - The opposition Liberal Democracy (LDS) is to hold a press conference at 9:30 AM to present the party's bill on patients' rights.
TAINACH (TINJE), Austria - A traditional meeting of young Slovenian intellectuals from Slovenia and neighbouring countries is to take place. The three-day event is to debate social integration.
BERLIN, Germany - Slovenia will get its opponents for the group rounds of the 2007 World Handball Championships at a draw scheduled for 3 PM.
