Smuggled Cigarettes Found in Port of Koper

Koper, 14 July - Slovenian customs officials found illegally imported cigarettes aboard the ship Thomas Mann in the port of Koper. The seized cigarettes would be worth nearly one million euros on the European market, the Customs Office said on Friday.

Contraband cigarettes discovered in a container that came from the Chinese port of Chiwan. Customs estimates put the value of 8.5 million cigarettes at nearly EUR 1m.
