NOVA GORICA - The coalition People's Party (SLS) is to present an initiative for assistance to farmers struck by this year's severe drought and discuss other topical issues in agriculture at a press conference scheduled for 11 AM.

LJUBLJANA - Social Democrats (SD) vice-president Andreja Rihter and lawmaker Majda Potrata are to outline topical issues in Slovenian culture at a press conference scheduled for noon.

MURSKA SOBOTA - The Murska Sobota Public Health Institute is to organise a panel on how to reduce inequality in health care. President Janez Drnovsek will be the guest of honour; at noon.

LJUBLJANA - The organisers of the Young Lions festival, taking place in Ljubljana between 17 and 27 August, are to present the programme at 11 AM.

TILBURG, Netherlands - Slovenia's Domzale will take on Hapoel Tel Aviv in the second round of qualifying for the UEFA Cup (first leg). The game starts at 7 PM. (STA)
