Schedule of Events for Friday, 18 August

BELTINCI - The central state ceremony to remember the unification of Slovenia's northeasternmost region of Prekmurje with the then Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes in 1919 is to be held at 8 PM. PM Janez Jansa is to be the speaker of honour. The ceremony is to be preceded by a mass at 6 PM, which is to be attended by Slovenian Cardinal Franc Rode.

LJUBLJANA - Economics Minister Andrej Vizjak is to speak about the government's plans for privatising the Slovenian energy sector at a press conference scheduled for noon.

LJUBLJANA - Leader of the junior coalition People's Party (SLS) Janez Podobnik is to speak about topical issues at a press conference scheduled for 10:30 AM.
