Ljubljana, 26 August - As the summer holiday is drawing to a close, the political scene is flaring up with renewed vigour. Two stories that made the headlines thus turned into fora for domestic political disputes: the closing of the case against former senior Communist official Mitja Ribicic reignited debates about attitudes to Slovenia's recent history, while the saving of Tomo Kriznar from prison in Sudan led to the escalation of disputes between the president and the government over foreign policy jurisdictions.
