LJUBLJANA - Chinese State Councillor Tang Jiaxuan is scheduled to meet President Janez Drnovsek (11 AM), Prime Minister Janez Jansa (12:30 PM) and Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel (4:30 PM) on the second day of his visit to Slovenia. Meanwhile, Economy Minister Andrej Vizjak and Chinese Deputy Minister of Trade Yu Guangzhou are to sign an agreement on economic cooperation at 12:55 PM. (STA/PHOTO)

LJUBLJANA - The Financial Fund for the Decommissioning of the Krsko Nuclear Power Plant (NEK) is to present figures for 2005 and the first half of 2006 at a press conference scheduled for 1 PM. Director Janko Strasek and management board chairman Branko Janc are also expected to talk about other current topics. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The Association of Free Trade Unions of Slovenia, the largest union federation in the country, is to present its position on the government's tax reform package at 10:30 AM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The National Statistical Office is to Release inflation figures for August at a press conference scheduled for 10:30 AM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The chairman of the International Union of Judicial Officers, Jacques Isnard, who is visiting Slovenia at the invitation of the Slovenian Chamber of Executory Officers, is to hold talks at the Justice Ministry and the Supreme Court. A press conference is scheduled for 2 PM.

LJUBLJANA - Ljubljana Mayor Danica Simsic and the director of Festival Ljubljana Darko Brlek are to talk to the press at 10:30 AM to present the progress in the construction of a funicular to Ljubljana Castle.

LJUBLJANA - The biennial conference of the European Association of Chinese Studies is to officially open at 10 AM. The event is organised by the Department for Asian and African Studies at the Faculty of Art.
