MIP Closes Abattoir in Western Slovenia

Nova Gorica, 3 November - Meat processing company MIP has decided to close the abattoir at its main plant in Kromberk, near the western Slovenian town of Nova Gorica. The move is part of a decision to move culling operations to its subsidiary Pomurka in Murska Sobota, in northeastern Slovenia, in a bid to cut costs, MIP chairman Marko Volk told STA on Friday.
