STRASBOURG, France - The European Court of Human Rights is expected to post on its website at 11 AM its verdict in the case brought eight years ago by three Croatian savers of the defunct Slovenian bank LB against Slovenia.
LJUBLJANA - The government is to convene a session at 4 PM to debate the amended 2008 budget bill. A press conference is scheduled for 5 PM. (STA/PHOTO)
BRUSSELS, Belgium - Defence Minister Karl Erjavec is to take part in a conference on global alliance. NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Schefferis to make an opening address.
OTTAWA, Canada - Speaker of Parliament France Cukjati continues his official visit to Canada. He is due to meet Canadian Foreign Minister Peter MacKay and Speaker of the House of Commons Peter Milliken.
RADENCI - The 2006 Statistics Days, an international meeting of experts, providers and users of statistical data, is to kick off at 10 AM. The event, running until 8 November, is organised by the National Statistics Office and the Slovenian Statistical Association. Apart from Slovenian officials, participants include Director General of Eurostat Herve Carre, Chief Statistician of the OECD Enrico Giovannini and Director General Statistics at the European Central Bank Steven Keuning.
LJUBLJANA - Health Minister Andrej Brucan is due to address a press conference at noon to unveil plans for a network of emergency centres and a new Ljubljana hospital centre, which are part of the government resolution on national development projects for 2007-2023.
LJUBLJANA - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to receive credentials from three ambassadors: Argentina's Eugenio Maria Curia, Australia's Peter Shannon and Georgia's Nikoloz Nikolizhvili.
KOPER - Food, tourism and energy conglomerate Istrabenz is to host a press conference at 11 AM to outline the company's strategic business plan for the 2007-2011 period. (STA)
NAIROBI, Kenya - A delegation of the Ministry of the Environment and Spatial Planning is to attend the 2nd meeting of the parties to the Kyoto Protocol, in conjunction with the 12th session of the Conference of the parties to the UN Climate Change Convention. The session is to run until 17 November with the ministerial held between 15 and 17 November.
BLED - The Ministry of the Environment and Spatial Planning is to unveil projects it backed as part of the Phare CBC programme Slovenia-Austria 2003 scheme to preserve cross-border biotic diversity. The press conference is scheduled for 11:15 AM.
LJUBLJANA - The 17th Ljubljana Furniture Fair is to open at 11 AM, featuring 297 exhibitors from 23 countries. The event runs until Sunday, 12 November.
LONDON, the UK - Slovenian exhibitors, headed by the Slovenian Tourist Board (STO) are to display what they have to offer at the World Travel Market. The STO is to hold a press conference at 1 PM, featuring Economy Minister Andrej Vizjak, among others.
LJUBLJANA - An exhibition on the 1956 Hungarian revolution is to open at 6 PM at the Museum of Contemporary History.
