BRUSSELS, Belgium - Finance Minister Andrej Bajuk is to attend a session of EU finance ministers. One of the topics on the agenda is the European Commission's autumn forecast, which was released on Monday.
BRUSSELS, Belgium - EU labour ministers, among them Slovenia's Janez Drobnic, are to meet for an extraordinary session over Finland's proposal for the stalled working time directive.
OTTAWA, Canada - Speaker of Parliament France Cukjati is due to meet Senate President Noel Kinsella and other Canadian parliamentarians as he continues his official trip to Canada.
LJUBLJANA - Transport Minister Janez Bozic is to outline a project to modernise the railway network, envisaged in the government resolution on national development projects for 2007-2023. The press conference is scheduled for 10 AM.
LJUBLJANA - The Prime Minister's Strategic Council for Economic Development is to convene the first session in new composition at 1 PM. Chair Marjan Senjur is to give a statement following the session.
LJUBLJANA - The management board of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GZS) is to meet behind closed doors at 4 PM. A statement for the press is expected to follow.
MARIBOR - The Court of Audits is to reveal to the press at 10:30 AM the results of an audit in the Slovenian Railways Holding.
LJUBLJANA - The 7th Corporate Governance panel, sponsored by the business daily Finance, is to discuss corporate governance in the public sector, in particular the national health system. Attendance expected by Health Minister Andrej Brucan. The event begins at 1:30 PM.
PORTOROZ - The 7th international telecommunications conference, themed "Business Challenges of Modern Telecommunications", is to open at 9:40 AM, to run until 8 November.
LJUBLJANA - President Janez Drnovsek is to receive credentials from three ambassadors: Argentina's Eugenio Maria Curia, Australia's Peter Shannon and Georgia's Nikoloz Nikolizhvili.
KOPER - The Customs Administration is to present new equipment for the detection of radiation; at 10:30 AM.
ZAGREB, Croatia - The Interliber 2006 book fair is to open, featuring Slovenia as the partner country. The keynote address will be delivered by Slovenian Culture Minister Vasko Simoniti.
