Ljubljana, 9 November - Below is a schedule of events for for Thursday, 10 November:

BLED - The annual meeting of Slovenian bankers is to get under way at 9 AM with an address by Bank of Slovenia Governor Mitja Gaspari and Finance Minister Andrej Bajuk. The Banks' Association-sponsored event is set to discuss possible scenarios for euro introduction in the future, development of the banking sector in the new EU members on the path towards the eurozone and Slovenia's experience in transition and monetary policy. A special panel at 11:30 AM is to focus on the forthcoming euro changeover.

PORTOROZ - Buisness daily Finance and the Ljubljana Stock Exchange have organised a round-table debate featuring Economy Minister Andrej Vizjak, Finance Ministry State Secretary Andrej Sircelj, chairman of the Restitution Fund (SOD) Marko Pogacnik and Damjan Mihevc, the chief supervisor of insurer Zavarovalnica Triglav. The event begins at 11 AM.

LJUBLJANA - An international conference is to highlight development prospects for Slovenia and SE Europe in terms of renewable energy sources. The event, which is to open at 9 AM, is to feature European Science and Research Commissioner Janez Potocnik, Economy Minister Andrej Vizjak, Environment Minister Janez Podobnik and Agriculture, Forestry and Food Minister Marija Lukacic.

LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary EU affairs committee is to meet behind closed doors at 2 PM to discuss Slovenia's positions for the upcoming sessions of the EU Education, Youth and Culture Council and the General Affairs and External Relations Council and the funding of a permanent representative to the COSAC secretariat.

VENZONE, Italy - The press has been invited to the Apocalypse Knights 2006 war games, which bring together the armed forces of Italy, Hungary and Slovenia. The exercises' objective is to check the capacity of the three-country regiment within the multi-national land force.

MONACO, Monaco - Transport Minister Janez Bozic is attending the final day of an international conference entitled Finance for Transport Networks: Meeting the Challenge of Euro-Mediterranean Economic Integration.

CHENGDU, China - A Slovenian delegation is attending EU-China Partenariat 2006, a two-day business meeting of SMEs from the EU and China.

LJUBLJANA - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to receive Chantal de Ghaisne de Bourmont, the incoming French extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador, at 11:30 AM.

LJUBLJANA - Health Minister Andrej Brucan is to speak to the press at 1 PM about the motion to oust him filed by the opposition Liberal Democrats on 11 October.

LJUBLJANA - The Government Media and PR Office is to hold a press conference at noon to unveil a new slogan and logo to promote Slovenian tourism.

LJUBLJANA - The opposition Social Democrats' Europe Forum is to host at 4:30 PM a debate featuring European Science and Research Commissioner Janez Potocnik.

PORTOROZ - The meeting of the Slovenian Employers' Association dealing with new regulations to mark 2007 continues.

LJUBLJANA - The 17th annual Ljubljana International Film Festival (LIFFe) is to get under way.
