Schedule of Events for Monday, 13 November

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia/KUWAIT CITY, Kuwait - PM Janez Jansa and the accompanying business delegation are expected to end their visit to Saudi Arabia and travel on to Kuwait. In Saudi Arabia Jansa is expected to open a Slovenian-Saudi joint venture, while in Kuwait he is to meet the Prime Minister, Nasir al-Muhammad al-Ahmad al-Sabah. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary finance and monetary policy committee is to meet at 10 AM for an extraordinary session to discuss the amended 2008 budget bill, which was recently adopted by the government.

BRUSSELS, Belgium - Bozo Cerar, state secretary at the Foreign Ministry, is to attend a session of the EU General Affairs and External Relations Council (GAERC). State Secretary at the Defence Ministry Franci Znidarsic is meanwhile to take part in an informal meting of the EU defence ministers.

BRUSSELS, Belgium - A two-day meeting of the EU Education, Youth and Culture Council is to be attended by Slovenian Culture Minister Vasko Simoniti.

CESKE BUDEJOVICE, Czech Republic - Transport Ministry State Secretary Peter Verlic is to attend the third meeting with his Austrian and Czech counterparts on priority treatment of the rail link that is to run from Prague through Austria's Linz and Graz and Slovenia's Maribor, Ljubljana and Koper.

LJUBLJANA - Independent researchers Anton Komat and Gorazd Pretnar, supported by the non-parliamentary Active Slovenia and environmental organisations Friends of the Earth and WWF, are to present new arguments against constructing two natural gas terminals in the Gulf of Trieste at 12:30 PM.

LJUBLJANA - The Slovenian Tourism Board is to outline its activities in the past four years and present its future plans at a news conference, scheduled for 11 AM.

LJUBLJANA - Organisers of the 9th Slovenian Wine Festival (16-18 November) are to present the event to the press at 1 PM.
