KUWAIT CITY, Kuwait - Prime Minister Janez Jansa continues his visit to Kuwait, where he is expected to take part in a Kuwaiti-Slovenian business conference and meet the Emir, Sheikh Sabah al Sabah. Jansa's entourage includes four ministers and a delegation of more than 60 executives. (STA)
VIENNA, Austria - President Janez Drnovsek is to meet his Austrian counterpart Heinz Fischer (12:30 PM) and launch his new book "Bistvo Sveta" (The Essence of the World) at the Vienna Book Week. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - The euro campaign in Slovenia, sponsored by the government and the central bank, is to be presented at a press conference at 10 AM, while communications directors for the euro are to gather for their annual meeting at 9 AM. The purpose of the meeting is to coordinate communication activities among EU member states, the European System of Central Banks and the European Commission. (STA/PHOTO)
LJUBLJANA - Manuel Lobo Antunes, European affairs state secretary at the Portuguese Foreign Ministry, is to visit Slovenia upon the invitation by the head of the Government Office for European Affairs (SVEZ) Janez Lenarcic. The Portuguese official is scheduled to meet Foreign Ministry State Secretary Bozo Cerar at 3 PM.
BRUSSELS, Belgium - The closing day of the EU Education, Youth and Culture Council session is to be attended by Slovenian Education and Sport Minister Milan Zver.
LJUBLJANA - Several civil rights groups are to stage a rally at 5 PM in protest of the way the government deals with the Roma issue.
LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary budgetary oversight commission is to convene a session at 2 PM to debate annual reports of the European Court of Auditors for 2005.
BEIJING, China - A delegation of the parliamentary foreign policy committee continues until Thursday its trip to China at the invitation of the corresponding Chinese body.
LJUBLJANA - The Institute for Economic Research is to unveil at 2 PM a survey on the long-term sustainability of the pension system.
LJUBLJANA - The Ljubljana Faculty of Law hosts an international conference on current challenges in international humanitarian law. The event, which is to open at 9 AM, is part of the Week of Humanitarian Law, sponsored by the Faculty of Law in cooperation with the Budapest-based regional delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
LJUBLJANA - Labour, Family and Social Affairs Minister Janez Drobnic is expected to give a statement at 11:30 AM following negotiations on amendments to the employment relationship act.
LJUBLJANA - Speaker of Parliament France Cukjati is to address at 11 AM participants in the Women Singing for Peace" project.
LJUBLJANA - Cooperatives-owned Kapitalska zadruga is to hold a press conference at 2 PM to reveal the results of its bid for the acquisition of Dezelna banka Slovenije, the bank which took over a network of savings banks operated by the Cooperatives' Association.
LIPICA - Mayor of Trieste Roberto Dipiazza is to visit the Lipica Stud Farm at 10 AM at the invitation of Matjaz Pust, the head of Kobilarna Lipica, the company running the farm.
VIENNA, Austria - A draw for the round of sixteen in the Europen Handball Champions League, in which two Slovenian teams take part, i.e. Celje Pivovarna Lasko and Gold Club.
