Slovenia under Fire for Treatment of Roma Family

Ljubljana, 16 November - Slovenia faced criticism on Thursday from two leading human rights groups over the status of the Roma, in particular the relocation of a Roma family from their home because the locals of a neighbouring village wanted them out. It is unacceptable that the family had to leave, Council of Europe (CoE) Human Rights Commissioner Thomas Hammarberg said after a two-day visit.
