Governor Says Central Bank to Remain Important after Euro Switch

Portorož, 17 November - Mitja Gaspari, governor of the Slovenian central bank, said that, contrary to prevailing opinion, the institution will remain important after Slovenia's 1 January 2007 adoption of the euro.
