Ljubljana, 21 November - Below is a schedule of events for Wednesday, 22 November:

HELSINKI, Finland - Prime Minister Janez Jansa will pay a working visit to Finland, meeting his Finnish counterpart Matti Vanhanen (at 12:30 AM) and Speaker of the Finnish Parliament Paavo Lipponen (at 11:30 PM). Jansa and Vanhanen are scheduled to speak to the press at 2:30 PM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Parliament is to continue its regular session by staging the second reading of the bill on municipal wardens' services alongside amendments to the citizenship act and electronic communication act, among other pieces of legislation. The session is to continue at 10 AM.

TRIPOLI, Libya - A two-day ministerial of EU and African Union member states on migrations and development is to get underway. Also attending will be State Secretary at the Interior Ministry Zvonko Zinrajh.

LJUBLJANA - The parliament's committee on finance and monetary policy is to meet at 9 AM for an urgent session on the bill on a state guarantee for a EUR 300m loan that is to be taken out by the Motorway Company (DARS) at the European Investment Bank.

LJUBLJANA - President Janez Drnovsek is to receive the credentials of the new French Ambassador to Slovenia Chantal de Ghaisne de Bourmont and of the North Korean Ambassador Kim Kwang Sop; at noon and 12:45 PM respectively. (STA/PHOTO)

LJUBLJANA - An assembly of the Chamber of Commerce (GZS) that is to get underway at 2 PM is also to see a debate on the management board initiative for a resignation of the chamber's head Jozko Cuk.

LJUBLJANA - Defence Minister Karl Erjavec will present to the press at 10 AM the ministry's achievements in the past two years and plans for 2007.

LJUBLJANA - Labour, Family and Social Affairs Minister Janez Drobnic will present the ministry's activities and plans for 2007 at a press conference scheduled for noon.

LJUBLJANA - Culture Minister Vasko Simoniti, director general of the ministry's media directorate Igor Prodnik and Slovenian Film Fund chief supervisor and acting director Stane Malcic will present to the press at 1:30 PM the current state of Slovenian film production and ideas for the future. TACEN - Interior Ministry will present at 1:30 PM the results of a public opinion poll on the public's attitude towards the police.

LJUBLJANA - Umanotera, an environmental NGO, is to present to the press at 11 AM its petition to establish whether the government resolution on national development programmes for the 2007-2013 period is constitutional.

LJUBLJANA - The details of the upcoming 5th international Naked Stage improvised theatre festival are to be unveiled at a press conference at 11:30 AM.

LJUBLJANA - Union Olimpija are to take on Partizan of Belgrade in the fifth round of the Euroleague; tip-off at 20:45 PM. (STA)
