Local Election Brings 734 Women Councillors

Ljubljana, 25 November - The recent local election resulted in a total of 734 elected women local councillors, 21.7% of all councillors. Compared with the 2002 vote, 317 more women councillors got elected this year, an increase of 76.5%, the Office for Equal Opportunities has said.
