EUMC Report Says Protests against Roma in Slovenia Common
Brussels, 28 November - The 2005 annual report of the European Monitoring Centre on Racism and Xenophobia (EUMC) notes the problem of Roma exclusion in the housing market in all countries with sizable Roma populations, including Slovenia. "In Slovenia conflicts and demonstrations against Roma settlements driven by local populations have become common," says the report, which was released on Tuesday.
