Ljubljana, 29 November - Below is a schedule of events for Thursday, 30 November:
LJUBLJANA - Parliament is to resume at 10 AM its debate on a motion to oust Culture Minister Vasko Simoniti, which has been filed by the opposition LDS. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - A bill on election campaigning, a draft defence programme for the 2007-2012 period and a 2007-2013 action plan for the disabled will be on the agenda of the weekly cabinet session. A press conference is scheduled for 2 PM. (STA)
VILNIUS, Lithuania - Interior ministers from Schengen zone candidates, including Slovenia, are to discuss the Portuguese proposal that would make it possible to expand the Schengen passport-free area to the EU newcomers in 2007 as initially planned.
BRUSSELS, Belgium - The start of a two-day session of the EU Council of Employment, Social Policy, Public Health and Consumer Protection begins. Health Minister Andrej Brucan will be representing Slovenia.
LJUBLJANA - The New Slovenia (NSi) executive committee is to meet at 6 PM to discuss topical issues. NSi president Andrej Bajuk is expected to talk to the press at 7:30 PM.
BRDO PRI KRANJU - A child abuse prevention conference is to get under way, organised by several ministries and the Together Foundation and accompanied by a session of Human Security Network officials; at 2 PM.
LJUBLJANA - A conference on the future of electronic communications and the development of competition organised by the Management Agency and the Economy Ministry. The event kicks off at 9 AM.
LJUBLJANA - Slovenia and Indonesia are to sign an accord on cooperation in science and technology as Indonesian Minister for Research and Technology Kadiman Kusmayanto pays a visit at the invitation of Slovenian counterpart Jure Zupan; at 2 PM. (STA/PHOTO)
