Slovenian expedition scales Himalayan Eastern Kumbakarna

Ljubljana, 12 June - The Slovenian alpinists Vanja Furlan and Bojan Počkar today, upon their return from the Himalayas, gave a presentation of their ascent onto the Eastern Kumbakarna. Following the Slovenian route of ascent, which is the only one to be mapped so far on this yet unconquered mountain, the two alpinists succeeded in climbing to a height of 7,100 metres, but failed to reach the 7,468 metres high summit of the Eastern Kumbakarna, which still remains one of the last unconquered peaks in the Himalayas.
