Ljubljana, 3 December - Schedule of events in the week from 4 to 10 December:

MONDAY, 4 December
        BRUSSELS, Belgium - Interior Minister Dragurin Mate and Justice Minister Lovro Sturm are to attend a two-day meeting of their EU colleagues.
        BRUSSELS, Belgium - Economy Minister Andrej Vizjak is to be taking part in an EU Competitiveness Council, which runs until Tuesday.
        HELSINKI, Finland - Education Minister Milan Zver is to attend an informal two-day meeting of EU Education Ministers.
        BRUSSELS, Belgium - Speaker of Parliament France Cukjati is to take part in a meeting of parliamentary speakers from EU members and the European Parliament which will deal with the future of Europe (until 5 December).
        LJUBLJANA - Press conference by the Finance Ministry on the ministry's activities in the past year.

TUESDAY, 5 December
        BERLIN, Germany - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to meet his opposite numbers from Germany and Portugal with whom Slovenia is to make up an EU troika. The three are to unveil their 18-month presidency programme.
        SKOPJE, Macedonia - State Secretary for European Affairs Janez Lenarcic is to begin a two-day visit to Macedonia.

WEDNESDAY, 6 December
        LJUBLJANA - A press conference on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Slovenian Cinematheque that is to be marked with special screening of Fritz Lang's Metropolis.

THURSDAY, 7 December
        AMMAN, Jordan - Interior Minister Dragutin Mate is to launch a five-day visit to Jordan.
        LJUBLJANA - A regular weekly government session.
        MARIBOR - Day one of the 9th Slovenian tourist forum organised by the Slovenian Tourist Organisation (through 8 December).
        LJUBLJANA - Slovenia's Union Olimpija is to play Joventut Badalona in the 7th round of Europe's strongest basketball competition, the Euroleague (group B).

FRIDAY, 8 December
        LJUBLJANA - A joint session of the parliamentary foreign policy and EU affairs committees.
        PRISTINA, Serbia - Defence Minister Karl Erjavec is to visit the Slovenian forces participating in the KFOR peace-keeping mission in Kosovo.
        LJUBLJANA - Dennis Schut of the European Commission is to present to the Transport Ministry the bloc's seventh research framework programme.
        LJUBLJANA - The final conference of the "Let's Face Discrimination " project organised by the Austrian Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Human Rights and the office of the Slovenian Human Rights Ombudsman.
        FLENSBURG, Germany - Celje Pivovarna Lasko are to take on Germany's Flensburg-Handewitt in the return leg of the European Handball Champions League round of 16 encounter.

SATURDAY, 9 December
        PAMPLONA, Spain - Gold Club take on Portland San Antonio of Spain in the return leg of the best-of-16 in the European Handball Champions League.
