Ljubljana, 3 December - Below is a schedule of events for Monday, 4 December:

BRUSSELS, Belgium - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to take part in a ministerial of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). The three-day event which started on Sunday focuses on a reform of the organisation and Kazakhstan's bid for presidency in 2009.(STA)

BRUSSELS, Belgium - Interior Minister Dragurin Mate and Justice Minister Lovro Sturm are to attend a two-day meeting of their EU colleagues. The first day will see the Justice Ministers discussing the Hague Programme and Mate signing a statement paving the way for Slovenia to become a member of the Pruem Treaty. The treaty enhances cross-border cooperation, in particular in combating terrorism, cross-border crime and illegal immigration.

BRUSSELS, Belgium - Economy Minister Andrej Vizjak is to be taking part in EU Competitiveness Council. At the two-day event the ministers will focus on modernising the bloc's customs regulations, examine the implementation of the Lisbon Strategy and the progress made in cutting red tape-related costs in companies.

BRUSSELS, Belgium - Speaker of Parliament France Cukjati is to take part in a meeting of parliamentary speakers from EU members and the European Parliament. The meeting entitled "Future of Europe: From Reflection to Action" will close on Tuesday.

HELSINKI, Finland - Education Minister Milan Zver is to attend an informal two-day meeting of EU Education Ministers aimed at furthering European cooperation in the field of vocational education and training. Zver is also to hold a bilateral meeting with his Norwegian counterpart.

LJUBLJANA - Higher Education, Science and Technology Minister Jure Zupan is to speak to at 10:15 AM representatives of universities, research institutes and businesses about Slovenia's role in the EU's seventh research framework programme.

LJUBLJANA - A press conference by the Finance Ministry on the its activities in the past year is scheduled for 11:30 AM.
