Schedule of Events for Monday, 11 December

Ljubljana, 10 December - Below is a schedule of events for Monday, 11 December:

BRUSSELS, Belgium - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel and EU Affairs State Secretary Janez Lenarcic are to attend a two-day meeting of the EU's General Affairs and External Relations Council. At the meeting Slovenia, Germany and Portugal are to present their programme for the countries' successive six month stints as EU president between January 2007 and June 2008. (STA)

MOSCOW, Russia - Economy Minister Andrej Vizjak is to begin a visit to Moscow, where he is to attend a session of the Regional Communications Union (RCU) council. At the session Slovenia will be given the status of an observer state. During the visit Vizjak is also to hold bilateral meetings with a number of Russian ministers.

BRUSSELS, Belgium - Transport Minister Janez Bozic is to attend a two-day meeting of EU transport, telecommunications and energy ministers.

LJUBLJANA- Talks on the social agreement are to continue at noon. The partners are to discuss the chapter on employment and the labour market. The chief government negotiator Dusan Krajnik is to talk to the press at 3:15 PM.

LJUBLJANA - The executive council of the New Slovenia (NSi), a junior partner in the coalition, is to discuss a report on the results of the recent local elections at a session that gets underway at 5 PM.

LJUBLJANA - UNICEF Slovenija is to hold a special ceremony at 11 AM to celebrate the 60th anniversary of UNICEF.

LJUBLJANA - The United Nations Association of Slovenia is to mark the Human Rights Day, observed worldwide on 10 December, with an event at 5 PM.

KRAKOW, Poland - Exhibition about Slovenia's most celebrated architect Joze Plecnik, entitled Joze Plecnik - architect and visionary, is to open.

LJUBLJANA - The Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts is to hold a symposium on the centenary of the birth of Slovenian ballet legend Pino Mlakar.
