Govt and Trade Unions Agree Timeline for New Wages Deal

Ljubljana, 11 December - The government and trade unions representing civil servants have set 1 July 2007 as the date to introduce a new wages system for the public sector. This is what Drago Scernjavic, the head of the unions' negotiating team, said after Monday's meeting with Prime Minister Janez Jansa.
