Ljubljana, 12 December - Below is a schedule of events for Wednesday, 13 December:

LJUBLJANA - Parliament is set to continue at 10 AM the extraordinary session on the LDS-sponsored motion to oust Health Minister Andrej Brucan, at the end of which it will take a vote of confidence. (STA/PHOTO)

LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary Labour, the Family and Social Affairs Committee is to conduct a hearing of the candidate for Labour Minister Marjeta Cotman. The session begins at 5 PM. (STA/PHOTO)

LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary Credentials and Privileges Commission is to adopt its stand on the nominee for human rights ombudsman. President Janez Drnovsek has proposed parliament to appoint Zdenka Cebasek-Travnik to the post. The session begins at 8 AM. (STA/PHOTO)

LJUBLJANA - The cabinet is to hold its weekly session with the agenda including the bill on amending the economic zones act. A press conference is scheduled for 2 PM.

LJUBLJANA - The Institute for Strategic Studies is to host a conference on the energy markets in SE Europe. According to Borut Grgic, the head of the institute, the discussion is to focus on trends in the markets and the potential to introduce environment-friendlier sustainable energy. Following the conference, the institute plans to publish a study on the issue. The event is to open at 8:40 AM with an address by Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel. (STA/PHOTO)

LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary Defence Committee is to convene a session at 9 AM to debate a report on the operations of Slovenian troops in international missions in Iraq and Kosovo.

MURSKA SOBOTA - The Roma Association of Slovenia is to host an event "United in Difference" at 2 PM. Education Minister Milan Zver and the head of the Government Commission for the Roma Janez Podobnik are expected to take part.

NOVO MESTO - The results of a survey on the employment opportunities for the Roma are to be presented at 10 AM. The survey has been conducted among the Roma and employers as part of the Equal project. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Trade unions representing civil servants and the government negotiating team are to sign an agreement at 2 PM to determine how the talks on a collective bargaining agreement should continue. Prior to that, the Public Sector Unions' Confederation is to present its proposals for talks at 10:30 AM.

LJUBLJANA - Poultry company Perutnina Ptuj is to outline results for 2006 at a press conference scheduled for 11 AM. (STA)

MARIBOR - The second round of voting for chancellor of the Maribor University. Incumbent Ivan Rozman and Danijel Rebolj are vying for the post.

LJUBLJANA - A ceremony is to mark the 140th anniversary of the Red Cross's activity in Slovenia; at 2 PM.

LJUBLJANA - An exhibition on education in independent Slovenia is to open at noon at the Slovenian School Museum.
