Weekly Review of Events Involving Slovenia from 9 to 15 December

Ljubljana, 16 December - Foreign ministers of the upcoming troika to preside over the EU - Frank-Walter Steinmeier for Germany, Luis Amado for Portugal and Dimitrij Rupel for Slovenia - presented the joint 18-month presidency plan. Health Minister Andrej Brucan was the second minister in PM Janez Jansa's government to survive a motion to oust him. Parliamentary Labour, the Family, Social Affairs and the Disabled Committee endorsed Marjeta Cotman, the likely successor to the deposed Labour, the Family and Social Affairs Minister Janez Drobnic.
