Ljubljana, 17 December - Schedule of events in the week from 18 to 24 December:

MONDAY, 18 December
        LJUBLJANA - The National Assembly is to resume its final session of the year, among others with a vote on Marjeta Cotman, the nominee for minister of labour, the family and social affairs.
        LJUBLJANA - Prime Minister Janez Jansa is to host the presidents of the parliamentary parties, which have signed the development partnership pact.
        BRUSSELS, Belgium - Environment and Spatial Planning Minister Janez Podobnik is to attend a meeting of EU environment ministers.
        OTOCEC - Defence Minister Karl Erjavec is to receive his counterpart from Bosnia-Herzegovina Nikola Radovanovic.
        LJUBLJANA - The National Council, the upper chamber of parliament, is to present to the press its 2006 record.
        LJUBLJANA/DIVACA - Slovenian Railways is to outline results for 2006 at a press conference.
        BLED - Chemical and tourism conglomerate Sava is to outline results for 2006 and plans at a press conference.
        JESENICE - Steel producer Acroni is to present its 2006 results and plans for 2007.
        TRBOVLJE - A movement promoting public health care is to hold a panel also attended by Health Minister Andrej Brucan.

TUESDAY, 19 December
        BRUSSELS, Belgium - Agriculture Minister Marija Lukacic is to attend the three-day EU Agriculture and Fisheries Council.
        BUDAPEST, Hungary - State Secretary for European Affairs Janez Lenarcic is to visit Hungary.
        LJUBLJANA - Session of the council of public broadcaster RTV Slovenija.
        LJUBLJANA - Prime Minister Janez Jansa is to hold a reception for the family members of the Territorial Defence, police and civilian victims of the ten-day war for Slovenian independence.

WEDNESDAY, 20 December
        LJUBLJANA - The European Commission Representation Office is to present the findings of the autumn Eurobarometer survey for Slovenia.
        ILIRSKA BISTRICA - Panel entitled "Schengen in 2008?".
        ROME, Italy - Lottomatica of Rome are to play Slovenia's Union Olimpija in the 9th round of Europe's strongest basketball competition, the Euroleague (group B).

THURSDAY, 21 December
        LJUBLJANA - The December session of parliament is to close, among others with the vote on Zdenka Cebasek Travnik, President Janez Drnovsek's nominee for the post of the Human Rights Ombudsman.
        LJUBLJANA - Interior Minister Dragutin Mate is to host Barisa Colak, the minster for security from Bosnia-Herzegovina, who is coming for a two-day visit.
        LJUBLJANA - Meeting of college of deputy group leaders and an extraordinary session of the parliamentary Foreign Policy Committee.
        LJUBLJANA - A regular weekly government session.
        LJUBLJANA - The Constitutional Court is to hold a ceremony marking Constitution Day (23 December).
        LJUBLJANA - The European Commission Representation Office in Slovenia and public broadcaster RTV Slovenija are to present their joint "Europe 2007" project.
        LJUBLJANA - Ljubljana Archbishop and Metropolitan Alojz Uran is to presents his Christmas address at a press conference.

FRIDAY, 22 December
        LJUBLJANA - Parliament session marking Independence and Unity Day, with Deputy Speaker Vasja Klavora set to deliver the keynote address.
        LJUBLJANA - Central national ceremony marking 26 December, Independence and Unity Day, with Constitutional Court president Franc Cebulj delivering the keynote address.
        LJUBLJANA - Ljubljana's cathedral is to hold a mass for the homeland, marking Independence and Unity Day and 16 years since the independence referendum, to be given by Ljubljana Archbishop and Metropolitan Alojz Uran.

SATURDAY, 23 December
        LJUBLJANA - Constitution Day.

SUNDAY, 24 December
        LJUBLJANA/... - Midnight masses to take place throughout the country in celebration of Christmas Eve.
