115th Anniversary of Birth of Space Visionary This Year

Ljubljana, 3 January - This year will see celebrations of the 115th anniversary of the birth of Herman Potocnik Noordung (1892-1929), a space flight pioneer and a visionary who conceived the idea of a geostationary satellite. A series of events commemorating the Slovenian scientist have been held recently and will continue until the anniversary in December.
