CERKLJE NA GORENJSKEM - German Defence Minister Franz Josef Jung is to pay a visit to Slovenia to present to his host, Slovenian Defence Minister Karl Erjavec, the activities Germany is planning in the field of the European security and defence policy as part of its stint as EU president that begins on 1 January. A statement for the press is scheduled for 7:50 PM.

LJUBLJANA - The 15th Constitution Day (23 December) will be marked by the Constitutional Court with a 1 PM ceremony featuring the court's former president Dragica Wedam Lukic as the speaker of honour.

LJUBLJANA - The governing body of the Pension and Disability Insurance Institute (ZPIZ) is to convene at 11 AM to discuss the proposed changes to the 2007 financial plan and the proposal for the 2008 financial plan.

LJUBLJANA - A ceremony marking the opening of new premises of the Knjiznica Otona Zupancica public library will be attended by Culture Minister Vasko Simoniti, Ljubljana Mayor Zoran Jankovic and CEO of retailer Mercator Ziga Debeljak; at 1 PM.
