Independence Day Ceremonies Stress Need for Unity

Ljubljana, 22 December - High-profile state ceremonies were held on Friday to mark Independence and Unity Day, the day in 1990 when the results of the referendum on independence were announced. Keynote speakers stressed that the unity at the time - 88.5% of all voters were in favour - should serve as an inspiration for the future.
