Almunia Says Euro an Opportunity, but Challenges Remain

Brussels, 29 December - For Slovenia the euro is an opportunity to boost the economy and investor confidence, push down inflation and interest rates and make it easier to travel across the eurozone without needing new coins and bills in the pocket, European Commissioner for Monetary and Economic Affairs Joaquin Almunia said in an interview for STA. "This will require some efforts, as good opportunities always require some efforts."
