Act on Municipality Funding Enters into Force

Ljubljana, 1 January - The municipality funding act, passed by parliament on 17 November, enters into force today. The government says the new law brings equitable financing and greater autonomy for municipalities, but this has been challenged by a number of municipalities that stand to lose funds under the document.
