LJUBLJANA - Italian Foreign Minister Massimo D'Alema is to hold talks with Slovenian counterpart Dimitrij Rupel (10 AM), Prime Minister Janez Jansa (noon), President Janez Drnovsek (12:45 PM) and Parliament Speaker France Cukjati (9 AM) on the last day of his two-day official visit to Slovenia (STA/PHOTO)

LJUBLJANA - The parliament's Budget and Public Finance Oversight Committee is to hold an extraordinary session at 1 PM to look into a disputed deal on helicopter ambulance that the Health Ministry awarded to the Automotive Association (AMZS) without a public tender. (STA/PHOTO)

LJUBLJANA - Labour, the Family and Social Affairs Minister Marjeta Cotman and Marko Strovs, state secretary at the ministry, are to meet representatives of employers for talks on amendments to the employment relationship act at 1 PM. LJUBLJANA - The parliament's EU Affairs Committee and and Foreign Policy Committee are to hold a joint session at 10:30 AM at which they will be presented the programme of Germany's six-month presidency of the EU.

ROME, Italy - Public Administration Minister Gregor Virant is to pay a one-day working visit to Italy. The 2 PM talks with the Italian minister without portfolio for public administration reform and innovation, Luigi Nicolais, are to focus on the use of IT in the modernisation of public administration.

LJUBLJANA - The supervisory board of banking group NLB is set to decide whether to extend the tenure of four management board members whose term in office expires in June. The supervisors need to make their decision until 15 January.

LJUBLJANA - The Employment Service of Slovenia is to present the latest labour market data and trends at a press conference at 11 AM.

BRNIK - The shareholders of Aerodrom Ljubljana, the company running the Ljubljana international airport, are to meet at an extraordinary Annual General Meeting to decide on the fate of supervisory board member Janez Potocnik, undersecretary at the Transport Ministry. Potocnik's dismissal was demanded by the operator's majority owner, the state, which wants to replace him with Franc Zeljko Zupanic, the head of the civil aviation directorate at the ministry.

LJUBLJANA - The Ljubljana funicular is to be officially inaugurated. The funicular, which has been up and running since 28 December, will be launched by Ljubljana Mayor Zoran Jankovic and his predecessors Danica Simsic and Vika Potocnik.

LJUBLJANA - Slovenia's Union Olimpija are to take on Unicaja Malaga of Spain in round 11 of the Euroleague, Europe's strongest basketball competition; at 8:45 PM.
