Eurostat: Slovenia's R&D Budget Decreasing

Brussels/Luxembourg, 12 January - Slovenia spent EUR 338m on research and development in 2005, which represents 1.22% of its GDP, according to data released by Eurostat on Friday. This is down 2.3% compared to 2001, and runs contrary to the Lisbon Strategy goal of increasing the budget for R&D to at least 3% of GDP by 2010.
