KOBARID - Slovenians from the regions of Udine (Italy) and Posocje (Slovenia) are to get together for a traditional meeting at 5 PM. The event will be addressed by Environment Minister Janez Podobnik, who is also due to meet the leadership of the Slovenian World Congress and the Slovenian Cultural and Economic Association.

WETZLAR, Germany - Slovenia are to open their campaign at the World Handball Championships with a group A game against Greenland, which starts at 6 PM. (STA)

VALENCIA, Spain - Slovenian women handball champions Krim Mercator are to face Spain's Ribarroja in group A game in the third round of the European Handball Champions League; the game begins at 4:30 PM. (STA)

POKLJUKA - The men's 12.5 km pursuit event is to be held as part of World Cup biathlon competitions at the Pokljuka plateau. The start is scheduled for 2:15 PM. (STA)
