Ljubljana, 24 January - Below is a schedule of events for Thursday, 25 January:

LJUBLJANA - The cabinet is to meet at a regular weekly session, discussing among other things the developments in the EU in 2006 and Slovenia's position in the bloc and the proposal for the Declaration on Activities of the Republic of Slovenia in the Institutions of the European Union for the January 2007 - June 2008 period. PARIS, France - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to take part at an international donor conference for Lebanon.

LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary Foreign Policy Committee is to come together at 9 AM to discuss proposals to ratify several international agreements.

NOVO MESTO - Pharma company Krka is to present its preliminary consolidated business results for 2006 at 1 PM. (STA)

CELJE - Press conference by Banka Celje is to present the bank's business results for 2006 and plans for 2007 at 11 AM.

TACEN - The heads of Slovenian police are to hold a news conference at 1 AM to respond to recent allegations of Human Rights Ombudsman Matjaz Hanzek regarding alleged illegal covert surveillance of a Roma family.

LJUBLJANA - The management board of the recently-established Chamber of Commerce is to hold a session at 2:30 PM to debate the membership fee for 2007.

LJUBLJANA - Peace Institute, an NGO, is to present at 11 AM the fifth report of the group for monitoring discrimination. This time round the document deals with the separation of church and state.

HALLE, Germany - Slovenia are to take on France in the second match of the main round at the World Handball Championships at 7:30 PM (STA)
