Ljubljana, 25 January - Below is a schedule of events for Friday, 26 January:

BRUSSELS, Belgium - Slovenian Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to attend a meeting of NATO foreign ministers. The ministers will focus on beefing up the two crucial NATO missions - in Kosovo and Afghanistan. (STA)

MADRID, Spain - European Affairs State Secretary Janez Lenarcic is to attend an informal meeting of European affairs ministers of countries which have ratified the EU constitutional treaty.

LJUBLJANA - Two opposition members of the Defence Committee, Aurelio Juri and Anton Anderlic, are to talk to the press at 11 AM about the latest developments concerning the disputed purchase of eight-wheeled armoured personnel carriers for the army.

LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary Budget Oversight Committee will discuss Slovenia's stability programme for the 2006-2009 period. The session starts at 10 AM.

LJUBLJANA - The Commission for the Prevention of Corruption is to present the results of the latest survey on business ethics and kickbacks; at noon.

ROME, Italy - Justice Minister Lovro Sturm will attend a ceremony that marks the launch of the judicial year in Italy. Sturm and his host and counterpart Clemente Mastelle will also hold bilateral talks.

LJUBLJANA - The Slovenian Tourist Board (STO) is to hold a news conference at 10 AM to present its assessment of the 2006 tourist season and plans for 2007.

CELJE - "Sah mat" (Checkmate) by Vinko Moederndorfer is to open the Days of Comedy theatre festival.
