        LJUBLJANA - The National Assembly is expected to start its regular session for January.
        BRUSSELS, Belgium - An Agriculture & Fisheries Council meeting, also to be attended by a Slovenian Agriculture Ministry delegation.
        BRUSSELS, Belgium - Economy Minister Andrej Vizjak is to make a working visit to Brussels where he is to meet European Commission Vice-President and Enterprise and Industry Commissioner Guenter Verheugen.
        BRUSSELS, Belgium - Finance Minister Andrej Bajuk is to participate in a meeting of the Eurogroup.
        NEW DELHI, India - President Janez Drnovsek is to begin his attendance at the two-day international conference entitled "Peace, Non-Violence and Empowerment: Gandhian Philosophy in the 21st Century".
        LJUBLJANA - Press conference by Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GZS) on current developments in the field of employers' interests protection.

        BRUSSELS, Belgium - Session of the EU Economic and Financial Affairs Council, also attended by Finance Minister Andrej Bajuk.
        TRIESTE, Italy - Several Slovenian minority organisations are to host a debate with Foreign Minister Dimitij Rupel. The minister is also to meet Friuli Venezia-Giulia Premier Ricardo Illy.
        LJUBLJANA - Session of Economic and Social Council.

WEDNESDAY, 31 January
        LJUBLJANA - Belgian Foreign Minister Karel De Gucht is to pay an official visit to Slovenia.
        LJUBLJANA - Launch of a book on renowned architect Maks Fabiani (1865-1962).

THURSDAY, 1 February
        VALLETTA, Malta - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to take part in a two-day informal meeting of EU foreign ministers from the Mediterranean.
        LJUBLJANA - A regular weekly government session.
        BADALONA, Spain - Union Olimpija is to face Spain's Juventut in the 14th round of the basketball Euroleague.

FRIDAY, 2 February
        LJUBLJANA - Session of parliamentary EU Affairs Committee.
        PARIS, France - Environment Minister Janez Podobnik is to attend the "Citizens of the Earth" conference initiated by French President Jacques Chirac.
