LJUBLJANA - The National Assembly is to start its regular session for January session at 2 PM with the formal notice of the resignation of Agriculture Minister Marija Lukacic, who stepped down on 10 January. This is to be followed by the customary questions time featuring PM Janez Jansa. (STA/PHOTO)
BRUSSELS, Belgium - An Agriculture & Fisheries Council meeting is also to be attended by a Slovenian Agriculture Ministry delegation. The ministers are to be presented the plans of Germany's EU presidency, among other things.
BRUSSELS, Belgium - Economy Minister Andrej Vizjak is to make a working visit to Brussels where he is to meet with European Commission Vice-President and Enterprise and Industry Commissioner Guenter Verheugen. Vizjak is also to address an European Renewable Energy Council conference.
BRUSSELS, Belgium - Finance Minister Andrej Bajuk is to participate in a meeting of the Eurogroup, the first after Slovenia's adoption of the euro.
NEW DELHI, India - President Janez Drnovsek is to begin his attendance at the two-day international conference entitled "Peace, Non-Violence and Empowerment: Gandhian Philosophy in the 21st Century".
LJUBLJANA - The deputy group of the coalition Pensioners' Party (DeSUS) is to speak to the press at 1 AM, among other things about President Janez Drnovsek's nominees for central bank governor and Constitutional Court justice.
LJUBLJANA - Forum 21, a group of intellectuals allied with Former President Milan Kucan, is to stage at 5 PM a panel featuring the former secretary general of the OECD Donald J. Johnston.
LJUBLJANA - The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GZS) is to speak to the press at 10:30 AM about current developments in the field of employers interests protection.
LJUBLJANA - Telco Telekom Slovenije is to present to the press its FTTH (Fiber to the Home) network project.
LJUBLJANA - The office of Information Commissioner is to host at 6 PM a public debate on the protection of personal data and privacy.
LJUBLJANA - The executive board of the Slovenian Tourism Association (TZS) is to hold its first session at 10 AM to discuss its 2007 programme.
