Dailies on Troubles of LDS

Ljubljana/Maribor, 29 January - The leading Slovenian dailies take a look on Monday at the fate of the opposition Liberal Democracy (LDS) following Saturday's congress at which leader Jelko Kacin won a vote of confidence but which has led to fresh departures from the party. While dailies Vecer and Dnevnik claim the congress marked the end of the LDS's status of a party of academics, Finance says that the party missed its chance to transform. Delo's commentary is not as gloomy, suggesting the part of the LDS that has remained is now consolidated.
